Weekend Away

This is an annual 3-5 day 'weekend away' for the group to another walking area of the UK. Walks are arranged for every day plus a group evening meal.

ShineWalk - Congratulations to Mary , Barbara and Mandy who completed the Shine Night Walk - a marathon night walk in London in aid of Cancer Research
They want to thank all those who donated for the night.
It helped raise £2.3m on the night. 26m in just under 10 hours & not a single blister between them

2022 DNP Fingerpost donation - Dartmoor National Park have replaced a number of fingerposts . The Moorland Group contributed to funding the new fingerposts.

Becka Brook bridge - The new clapper bridge over the Becka Brook has now been completed and was featured on BBC Spotlight on Wednesday 26th November . The Moorland Group are contributing to the funding to build the bridge at SX748779. details - video

South Teign bridge - The new bridge over the South Teign has now been completed and Graham and other Moorland Group members attended the opening ceremony. The Moorland Group contributed to the funding to build the bridge.

Parking at Haytor and Postbridge - At the request of DNP , it has been agreed at the 2017 AGM that our group will not park in the Haytor Lower car park, or the Postbridge car park during the summer months.

The Walking Partnership - Nominate the Moorland Group to recieve funding every time you book a holiday with Rambler Holidays.
